Nora Balogh
Nora Balogh was born in Canada and is currently serving her second term as President of the Board of Directors of the CDF. Nora is a graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke, Co-op Honours B.Sc. in Computer and Mathematics with a Minor in Business Administration, 1979-84. She has worked as a Canadian public servant for the ministries of Statistics, Transportation, Human Resources and Canada Customs and Revenue where she raised to managerial positions. She has also work abroad as a volunteer and as a public servant for CIDA in several countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean where she provided training and / or advice to governments and civil society organizations on various matters. nora_balogh@citizendigital.org
Marlene Moleón
Marlene Moleón was born in the United States. She serves as Executive Director. Mrs. Moleon graduated in Architecture and later received further training as an industrial designer at the Bauhaus Institute in Germany. She is also a script writer and has directed award winning documentaries. Mrs. Moleon has worked as a web designer and is currently the editor of a very successful electronic magazine as well. mmoleon@citizendigital.org
Altagracia Espinosa
Altagracia Espinosa was born in Spain. She has a B.A. in Photography & Filming from the University of Valencia and is currently a well known and successful professional in her field. She is known for volunteering her art work to decorate public schools and has also worked as a volunteer for immigrant’s organizations. aespinosa@citizendigital.org
Yocelynn Olmos Ortiz
Yocelynn Olmos Ortiz was born in La Paz, Bolivia. Mrs. Olmos Ortiz graduated in Agro ingeneering at the University Gabriel Rene Moreno in Bolivia and of Economics at the University of Havana. She has worked with international agencies of cooperation on topics such as environment, gender and food security and has done research on drug trafficking, agrarian reform and alternative sustainable development. She has written and published numerous articles and essays in several journals and newspapers. Juan Antonio Blanco
Juan Antonio Blanco was born in Cuba. He holds a doctorate in History of International Relations and was a diplomat specializing in negotiations within the UN system and the Movement of Non Aligned Countries. He has also studied conflict resolution and conflict transformation techniques and has organized various processes of training and facilitated dialogue and consensus building among civil society organizations and between them and their governments. Blanco has written numerous articles and essays on international relations and civil society that has been published in different countries. Besides his work at CDF he also acted from 1997 to 2006 as Director of International Cooperation and later as Executive Director of Human Rights Internet, an international NGO based in Canada. jablanco@citizendigital.org
Romero Rodríguez
Romero Rodríguez was born in Uruguay, Mr. Rodriguez is a distinguish afro descendent intellectual and writer who has a long life at the service of social justice as well as in the struggle for the eradication of racism and discrimination. A civil society activist he was the founder of Mundo Afro in Uruguay, a promoter of the Alliance against Racism of the Americas and the key coordinator of the Santiago plus Five process, a brad dialogue between civil society and governments from Latin America and the Caribbean to follow up the Action Plan for the eradication of racism, intolerance and xenophobia in the Americas. Mr. Rodriguez was also the coordinator of the Round Table of State Institutions for the Promotion of Public Policies of Equity. He has also work as an independent consultant for UNICEF and the Ministry for Equality of Brazil (SEPPIR). Dante Vera
Dante Vera was born in Peru. He graduated in from the university in Social Sciences and specialized in Sociology. He is also an expert in economic and social rights, promoting dialogue and conflict resolution particularly in the rural areas and has worked as advisor of the government and the private sector on different topics such as citizen security and corporate social responsibility. He has a long experience working with various kinds of civil society organizations where he was elected in several occasions to leading positions.
