Consensus building
Creation of spaces for political dialogue and consensus-building processes
The Mexican Dialogues
A CDF consultant for Human Rights Internet (HRI) organized in 2004, at the request of the Mexican Government; a constructive exchange with the Mexican human rights civil society community. The dialogue was able to identify the areas for constructive engagement between these NGOs and the Mexican Government.
The Cuban Diaspora Dialogues
This process started in 2005 and produced the creation of a permanent space within the Cuban-American community in which two dozens key civil society organizations have come to agree on a moderate, constructive approach on the basic principles for future non violent change and reconciliation in their country. CDF consultants for the American Friends Service Committee assisted the parties engaged in this programme. More information
