Citizen Digital Facilitation

The Information Revolution and Citizen Digital Facilitation

The information revolution is changing everything about the world we live in, including the practice of development. Information and communications technologies (ICTs) have the potential to create jobs, improve access to basic services, increase the effectiveness of governments and facilitate the sharing of information with people, especially with the poor and with women living in remote parts of developing countries. New technologies have also become a key tool for empowering civil society organizations motivated in having an impact on public affairs.

ICT are not a luxury

ICTs are now a basic component of development and civil society actions and initiatives, not a luxury.

Citizen’s Digital Facilitation has decided to stand up to this challenge and assist in the empowerment of civil society organizations by using these new technologies, and different modalities of capacity building.

The CDF engages in international and local networking to implement its various activities such as processing, producing and disseminating information, capacity building (including E- Learning), and creating and facilitating spaces for political dialogue and conflict resolution / transformation.

Using digital technologies the CDF engage, support and facilitate civil society initiatives related to the promotion of dialogue, consensus building, conflict transformation, and citizen’s diplomacy with governments, the private sector and multilateral organizations.

As citizens we have chosen to be part of the digital information revolution to change the world into a better place for all.
